So for the past few years I've been pondering whether to get a tattoo or not. Surprisingly, my mom approves of me getting a tattoo as long as its tastefully done. However, my grandparents hate tattoos so I'd have to get it somewhere that it wouldn't be visible. So I finally have decided on a good spot and what I would like it to be.

I want to get a cascade of stars coming down from my collar bone to the bottom of my pec, something like this
Now I understand that this will be very painful, and even more so since I weigh all of 145 pounds and they will most likely hit bone. But as the old saying goes "No pain, no gain".

If anyone has anything to say about getting inked I'd love to hear it since the only other person in my entire family that has a tattoo is my oldest sister.

You've not considered having on on your cock then?

Hi Drew. It's so weird because I was thinking about posting some photo's of a huge tattoo before I read your blog. If you think the one in your picture would be painful... take a look at my photo's later lol! I have a small tattoo on the upper part of my right arm but I'm not that keen on them. I prefer standard black to coloured ones, and also I prefer tribal designs as opposed to Dragons, hearts, people and such like. Anyway, thanks for following my blog and I'm now following yours now too. Only tell your parents when you're good and ready btw. They may guess anyway if you never have a girlfriend etc. Oh, and how many pairs of shoes do you have? Lol!

Take care,
Col

I always think that a tattoo on the butt is kool; that way only your closest friends will be seeing it.

Since you asked — I think all tattoos disfigure the wearer (or whatever you call the tattooee). That may be partly a generational thing. When I was growing up, it just wasn't done by anybody you'd want to know.

I also think if one is going to have one, the smaller, the better, and the more hidden the better.

Recently I heard that getting tattooed can become sort of a compulsion for a lot of people. They get "just one." Then they've "got" to have another to go with it. Then there's another design they have to have, and so on, until they're sporting tattoos over most of their body. I hope you'll be able to resist the urge to get more and more.

There are a lot of people who feel the way your grandparents do and who have less respect for a person if they see a tattoo. That may not be fair, but it's a fact that you should be aware of.

It's your body. Do what you want, and be prepared for the reactions, both good and bad.

Hi Drew... i've only got one tatt, I've beeen thinking alot about getting another but still working on the design. I've heard the closer you get to the bone the more painful it is, mine is on my shoulder and didn't really hurt at all. My advice, get one you can keep covered, at some point in your life you might want to get a job, and as someone who does alot of hiring i can tell you coming in with a big tat on you neck will def hurt your chances. other than that, find a good artist, don't be afraid to ask to see some of their work, and you're gonna want to work with them on a design in advance, not just walk in and ask for something off the shelf..

lol so that's my 2 cents, welcome to blog-land :)

I'm eighteen and nearly everyone I know has a tattoo, except me. They look okay while your skin is young and supple, but you're going to get old, and then they don't look hot, they just look pathetic.

Ever wonder why you never see any old tattoos artists in tattoo parlor? It's because their own skin and tattoos are no longer advertisements for their art.

Just don't get one.
